Model Holiday Home Rental Agreement
As the owner of one or more self-contained holiday homes either in this country or abroad you would like to rent them out. You reach your tenants by using social media, your website, your own network or an intermediary. To prevent misunderstanding it is advisable to let your tenants sign a holiday home rental agreement.
This does not only include arrangements about the rent, but also what is or is not allowed (smoking, pets etc.). Tenants also need to know whether or not bed linen, bath towels and kitchen towels are provided and if this is a service that is included in the rent.
How to fill in the agreement
Please fill in the full name and address of both the tenant and the landlord. Next state the rent and the rental period. It is possible to ask for a security deposit and state the costs of cancellation. It is also possible to withhold a fine from the security deposit if the property is not delivered in a clean and proper state.
Includes provisions about:
- Rental period (definite or indefinite);
- Number of guests;
- Security deposit;
- What is or is not provided;
- What is or is not allowed;
- Inspection and cleaning;
- Liability in case of damage.

As the owner of a holiday home in this country or abroad you would like to rent it out to tourists. If the holiday home is not situated on your private property but on a recreation park you need the permission of the park to make your accommodation available to a third party. You have also taken out a buildings and contents insurance and you checked whether this insurance allows you to rent out a holiday home to a third party.
There are no additional legal regulations for renting out a holiday home. Therefore it is particularly important to draw up a sound holiday home tenancy contract. You only have to buy our model contract once and then you can use it without limitation.
